Welcome to Ben’s Experience! In this post, I’ll guide you through the process of installing WordPress on a subdomain in Hostinger. Whether you want to create a blog, a secondary site, or experiment with new features, using a subdomain is a fantastic way to expand your online presence.
Step 1: Accessing Your Hostinger AccountOnce you’re inside your Hostinger account, navigate to the top menu and click on “Websites.” From there, click on the dashboard button next to your website.Step 2: Creating a SubdomainIf you don’t have a subdomain ready yet, don’t worry. It’s easy to create one:
Click on “Domains” in the left-side menu.Select “Subdomains.”Give your subdomain a name, like “blog.”Create a custom folder for this subdomain, such as “blog-folder,” to keep your FTP files organized.Click “Create” to finalize your new subdomain.
Step 3: Installing WordPressNow that your subdomain is set up, let’s install WordPress on it:
From the same left-side menu, click on “Website” then “Auto Installer.”Select WordPress by clicking the “Select” button under its icon.Fill in your website credentials, including the title, email, username, and administrator password.Click on “Advanced” to choose your installation path. Select your newly created subdomain from the list.Click “Next” and make sure to use the latest WordPress version. Keep the language set to English.Click “Install” to complete the process.
Step 4: Visit Your New WordPress SiteCongratulations! You have successfully installed WordPress on your subdomain.
