How to Extract a Zip File in Hostinger
Hey everyone, welcome to B’s Experience! In this tutorial, I will guide you through the process of extracting a zip file in Hostinger. This is an essential skill for managing your website files. Let’s dive right in!
Step 1: Log into Your Hostinger Account First, log into your Hostinger account. Once you’re logged in, find the hosting plan you want to manage.
Step 2: Access File Manager Next to your hosting plan, click on ‘Manage’. Then, navigate to ‘Files’ and click on ‘File Manager’. This will take you to the area where you can manage all your website files.
Step 3: Locate Your Zip File In the File Manager, click on ‘Access Files’ of your website. Open the ‘public_html’ directory where your website files are stored.
Step 4: Extract the Zip File Locate your compressed or zip file. Right-click on it and select ‘Extract’. You will be prompted to give your new folder a name. For example, you can name it ‘hello’.
Step 5: Move Extracted Files After extraction, you will see the uncompressed file inside the ‘hello’ folder within ‘public_html’. To move this file directly to ‘public_html’, click on ‘Move File’. Navigate back to the ‘public_html’ directory and click ‘Move’ again.
And that’s it! Your uncompressed file is now in the ‘public_html’ folder, ready for use.
