How to Redirect Domain in Hostinger
Hey everyone, welcome to Ben’s Experience! In this post, I’ll guide you through the process of adding SSL in Hostinger. Securing your website with SSL is essential for protecting your visitors’ data and improving your site’s SEO. Let’s dive into the step-by-step process to add SSL in Hostinger.
Step 1: Log in to Your Hostinger Account
First, log in to your Hostinger account. Once you’re inside, navigate to the ‘Website’ section from the top menu.
Step 2: Access Your Website Dashboard
Next, click on the dashboard button located next to your website. This will take you to your website’s management area.
Step 3: Navigate to Security Settings
From the left-side menu, click on ‘Security’. A drop-down list will appear. Select ‘SSL’ from this list.
Step 4: Select Your Website
In the SSL section, you will see a list of your websites. Select the one you want to install the SSL certificate on.
Step 5: Install SSL Certificate
Click on the ‘Install SSL’ button. The installation process will begin. Hostinger indicates that this process can take up to an hour, but in most cases, it is completed in about 10 minutes.
Step 6: Verify SSL Installation
To check if the SSL installation is complete, refresh the page and look under the status section. If it shows as active, your SSL certificate is successfully installed.
Step 7: Check Your Website
Finally, open your website in a browser. You should see the HTTPS prefix instead of HTTP, indicating that your site is now secure.
