First, you’ll need to log in to your Google Search Console account. If you don’t have one yet, you’ll need to create an account and verify ownership of your website. Once you’re in, locate the “Sitemaps” section on the left-hand side of the dashboard.
Step 2: Enter Your Sitemap URL
To upload your sitemap, click on the “Sitemaps” button. You’ll see a field where you can enter your sitemap URL. If you’re using Hostinger Website Builder, your sitemap URL will likely be something like yourwebsite.com/sitemap.xml.
In the video, I demonstrated this with my own site, which is also built using Hostinger Website Builder. Instead of copying the entire URL, focus on the specific path to your sitemap, which typically ends in /sitemap.xml. Copy this part of the URL and paste it into the provided field in Google Search Console.
Step 3: Submit Your Sitemap
After pasting your sitemap URL, click the “Submit” button. Google Search Console will then process your request, and within a moment, you’ll see a confirmation message indicating that your sitemap was submitted successfully. If everything looks good, click “Dismiss” to close the confirmation window.
