How to Upload a Website for Free on InfinityFree with FileZilla
Welcome to Ben’s Experience! In this guide, I’ll walk you through the process of uploading a website for free on InfinityFree using FileZilla. Follow these steps to get your website online quickly and efficiently.
Step 1: Register on InfinityFree
First, visit infinityfree.com and click on the “Register” button. Fill in your email address, create a password, and agree to the terms and services. After registering, check your email inbox to verify your email address.
Step 2: Create an Account
Once verified, log in to InfinityFree and click on “Create Account.” Choose the free hosting plan and select your domain extension. For this example, I’ll use the subdomain “BensExperience.infinityfreeapp.com.” Confirm the availability and complete the account creation process.
Step 3: Set Up Your First Website
After creating your account, it may take a few minutes to set up. Log in to the control panel and install WordPress using the “Softaculous Installer.” Select HTTPS, choose your domain, and fill in the site details, including the site name, description, username, and password. Click “Install” to complete the process.
Step 4: Install FileZilla
To upload your HTML files, you’ll need FileZilla. Download it from filezilla-project.org and install the client on your computer. Open FileZilla once installed.
Step 5: Connect FileZilla to InfinityFree
In your InfinityFree control panel, go to your web hosting account and find the FTP details under “Account Options.” Copy the FTP hostname, username, and password. In FileZilla, enter these details in the respective fields and click “Quick Connect.”
Step 6: Upload Your Website
Once connected, navigate to the “htdocs” folder in FileZilla. Drag and drop your HTML file into this folder to upload it. Wait for the upload to complete.
Step 7: Verify Your Website
To see your uploaded HTML file, copy your website URL from InfinityFree, add the HTML file name (e.g., “ben.html”), and paste it into your browser. Press enter to view your website.
