How to Upload a File in InfinityFree
Uploading files to your InfinityFree account is a straightforward process, but having the right tools and knowing the steps can make it even easier. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to upload a file using InfinityFree and FileZilla, a popular FTP client.
- Log in to InfinityFree: Start by logging into your InfinityFree account at InfinityFree.com. Once logged in, navigate to the “Accounts” section and select the account you want to upload a file to.
- Retrieve FTP Credentials: Click on the “FTP Details” option located under your account settings. You will need these credentials to connect to your account via FileZilla.
- Install FileZilla: If you haven’t already, download and install FileZilla from the FileZilla Project website. Click on the download button for the FileZilla Client and follow the installation instructions.
- Connect with FileZilla:
- Open FileZilla and enter your FTP credentials. Copy the FTP username and password from InfinityFree and paste them into the corresponding fields in FileZilla.
- Enter the FTP host name provided by InfinityFree into the “Host” field.
- Click “Quick Connect” to establish a connection between FileZilla and your InfinityFree account.
- Upload Your File:
- Once connected, locate the “htdocs” folder within FileZilla. This is the directory where you will upload your files.
- Drag and drop the file you want to upload from your computer into the FileZilla window. The upload process will begin immediately.
- Verify the Upload:
- After the upload is complete, you can verify that your file has been successfully uploaded by accessing it through your web browser. Simply navigate to your website and add the file name to the end of the URL.
