How To Rotate Letters In Canva

Welcome to B’s Experience! In today’s blog post, we’re diving into the exciting world of Canva and learning how to rotate letters in Canva. Whether you’re designing for social media or creating graphics for your business, knowing how to manipulate text is essential for effective design.

Step 1: Create a New Design

To start, navigate to the Canva website and create a new design. For this tutorial, we’ll use an Instagram post template, which gives us a square canvas ideal for various design projects. Once you have your template, it’s time to add some letters.

Step 2: Add and Resize Letters

Begin by adding the text you want to work with. In this example, I’ll duplicate the letter “B” and resize it to fit my design. Canva makes it easy to modify text by simply dragging the corners of the text box.

Step 3: Rotating Text Using the Rotation Icon

To rotate letters in Canva, select the text you want to adjust. You’ll see a rotation icon appear near the text box. You can click and drag this icon to freely rotate your letters in any direction, whether it’s upright, sideways, or upside down. This feature allows for great creative freedom in your designs.

Step 4: Rotate Text to an Exact Angle

If you need to rotate letters to a specific angle, there’s a more precise method available. Select your text and go to the toolbar. Click on “Position,” and a side panel will open. In the advanced options, you’ll find a field for rotation. Here, you can input the exact angle you desire, such as 90°, and hit enter. Your letter will then rotate to the exact degree you specified.
