How to Remove a Payment Method in MailChimp

Welcome to B Experience! In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of removing a payment method in MailChimp. Follow these steps to ensure you can manage your billing options effectively.

Step 1: Log in to Your MailChimp Account

First, navigate to the MailChimp website (mailchimp.com) and log in to your account by entering your username and password.

Step 2: Access Your Account Profile

Once you’re logged in, click on your account profile located in the corner of the page. From the dropdown menu, select “Account.”

Step 3: Navigate to Billing Information

In the account section, click on “Billing” from the menu bar and then select “Billing Information.” Here, you will see the payment method connected to your MailChimp account, which in this case is a PayPal account.

Step 4: Remove the Payment Method

Next to the “Change” link, you will see a “Remove” link. Click on it to remove the payment method. If you do not see the “Remove” link, you may need to pause or stop any plans with automatic payments.

Step 5: Manage Your Plans

To manage your plans, click on “Billing” and then on “Monthly Plans” or “Credits.” From this page, you can cancel or stop any automatic payments. Once this is done, return to the billing information page, and you should see the “Remove” link next to “Change.”

Bonus Tip: Managing Automatic Payments on PayPal

If your payment method is PayPal and you want to ensure no payments are made from MailChimp, log in to your PayPal account. Go to account settings, click on “Payment Preferences,” and then select “Manage Automatic Payments.” Scroll down to find MailChimp, click on it, and then cancel automatic payments by clicking on the “Cancel” button.

By following these steps, you can effectively remove a payment method in MailChimp and manage your billing options without any hassle.
