How to Edit Menu in Wix
Welcome to Ben’s Experience! In this tutorial, I will show you how to edit the menu on Wix. Editing your Wix menu is crucial for maintaining an organized and user-friendly website. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you navigate the process.
Step 1: Log In to Your Wix Account
To get started, log in to your Wix account. Once you’re logged in, click on the “Edit Site” button to enter the Wix website editor.
Step 2: Access the Menu
Inside the editor, locate your website’s menu. Click on it to select it, then click on “Manage Menu.” This will open the menu management options.
Step 3: Reorder Menu Items
You can reorder the menu items by dragging and dropping them into the desired position. For example, if you want the “Blog” page to be the last item on your menu, simply drag it to the bottom of the list. Your changes will be displayed instantly.
Step 4: Hide or Show Menu Items
To hide a menu item, click on the three dots next to it and select “Hide from Menu.” This will remove the item from the menu without deleting it. To show a hidden item, follow the same steps and select “Show in Menu.”
Step 5: Delete Menu Items
If you need to delete a menu item, click on the three dots next to it and choose “Delete.” Be cautious with this action, as it will permanently remove the page from your menu.
Step 6: Create a Drop-Down Menu
To create a drop-down menu, go to the “Manage Menu” section and hit “Subpage.” Drag and drop the items you want to include under the main menu item. For example, to have the “Forum” item under the “Blog” item, drag “Forum” below “Blog.” You can reset the menu items by moving them out of the subpage position.
Step 7: Add New Menu Items
You can add new menu items by clicking “Add” in the “Manage Menu” section. You can create a new page or add an external link. For instance, if you want to add an Instagram link, name it “Instagram” and enter your profile URL.
Step 8: Customize Menu Layout
Edit the layout of your menu by clicking on “Layout” in the header section. You can adjust the text alignment, item direction, and more to match your website’s design.
Publish Your Changes
After making all your changes, click “Publish” to update your website. Preview your site to see the new menu in action.
