How to Create a WordPress Website with Hostinger in Just 30 Minutes
Welcome to B’s Experience! In this tutorial, I’m going to show you how to create a WordPress website with Hostinger in just 30 minutes. Follow these simple steps, and you’ll have your site up and running in no time.
Step 1: Log in to Your Hostinger Account
Once you’re inside your Hostinger account, click on “Websites” from the top menu. Then, click on the “Dashboard” next to your website to begin the installation process.
Step 2: Install WordPress
Head down to the “Website” section and click on “Auto Installer” or “WordPress.” Click on “Install” next to the WordPress option. You’ll need to fill in your website credentials, such as the website title, administrator email, username, and password. Click on “Next.”
For the application version, I always recommend using the latest WordPress version for better security. You can select your site language from the drop-down menu. After that, click on “Install.”
Step 3: Check Your Installation
Once the installation is complete, your WordPress site is ready! To proceed, log in to your WordPress dashboard through the admin panel button.
Step 4: Install a WordPress Theme
To give your website a professional look, you need to install a new theme. Go to “Appearance” and then “Themes.” Click on the “Add New Theme” button. Personally, I prefer the Astra theme. Activate the Astra theme and click on “Let’s Get Started” with starter templates.
You can choose between an AI website builder or classic starter templates. I prefer the classic starter templates. After selecting your preferred template, click on “Continue,” skip the next step, and submit to build your website.
Step 5: Customize Your Website
Your new website is now ready! Refresh the page to see the changes. To customize your WordPress site further, go to your dashboard where you can:
- Add new posts
- Create categories
- Add media like photos or videos
- Create new pages
- Manage comments
- Add and manage themes
Step 6: Optimize Your Website
To make your WordPress site faster, it’s a good idea to delete unnecessary plugins. For example, you can deactivate and delete plugins like Hostinger Easy Boarding and Hostinger Tools from your WordPress dashboard.
You can also add additional users to publish articles under their names and adjust various settings such as your site title, site icon, and email address.
