How to Add Products to Squarespace

Adding products to your Squarespace site is a straightforward process that allows you to showcase and sell your items online. Follow these simple steps to add products to your Squarespace site.

Step 1: Log In to Your Squarespace Account

Head over to Squarespace.com and log in using your email address and password. Once logged in, select the website where you want to add a product.

Step 2: Navigate to the Products Section

Click on the “Products and Services” button below your site name, then go to “Products”. Here, click on the “Add Product” button to start the process.

Step 3: Choose the Product Type

Squarespace allows you to add various types of products, including physical products, services, digital downloads, gift cards, and custom merchandise. For this example, we’ll add a physical product.

Step 4: Enter Product Details

• Name: Give your product a name, such as “T-Shirts”.
• Description: Provide a description, for example, “Made in China”.
• Additional Info: Add any extra information you think is necessary.

Step 5: Upload Images

Upload images of your product from your computer or select from the Squarespace library. You can add multiple images to provide different views of your product.

Step 6: Set the Price

Set the price for your product. You can also add a sale price if you’re running a discount. Check the “Unlimited Stock” option if you don’t want to track inventory.

Step 7: Add Variants

If your product comes in different sizes, colors, or other variations, click on the “Variant” option. Enter the variant name and value, such as “Size” and “XL”.

Step 8: Organize Your Products

Use categories and tags to organize your products. This helps customers find what they’re looking for more easily.

Step 9: Edit SEO Settings

Improve your product’s visibility in search engines by editing the SEO title, URL, and description. You can also set a social sharing image that will display when your product page is shared on social media.

Step 10: Publish Your Product

You have the option to save your product for later, publish it immediately, or schedule it for a future date. Click “Publish” to make your product live on your site.

Preview Your Product

After publishing, preview your product by clicking on the three dots next to the product name and selecting “Preview”. This will show you how your product appears to customers.
