How to Add Legal Pages in Hostinger Website Builder
Hey everyone, welcome to Ben’s Experience! In this tutorial, I will show you how to add legal pages in Hostinger website builder. Adding legal pages such as privacy policy, refund policy, and terms and conditions is essential for the credibility and compliance of your website. Follow these steps to create and add these pages to your website’s footer.
Step 1: Access the Website Editor
First, log in to your Hostinger account and navigate to the website editor. Here, you will see your website’s current layout. Notice that the footer currently has no legal pages.
Step 2: Create Legal Pages
To create legal pages, go to the ‘Pages and Navigation’ section in the editor. Click on ‘ADD Page’. From the list on the left, you can choose to create a privacy policy page, a refund policy page, and a terms and conditions page.
Step 3: Create a Privacy Policy Page
Start by creating a privacy policy page:
- Select the ‘Privacy Policy’ template.
- Fill in your company name, for example, B Adventures LLC. Your website name and email address will be automatically filled in for you.
- Click on ‘ADD Page’. Your privacy policy page is now created.
Step 4: Create a Terms and Conditions Page
Next, create the terms and conditions page:
- Go to ‘Pages and Navigation’, click on ‘ADD Page’, and select ‘Terms and Conditions’.
- Choose the template and fill in your company name, for instance, B Adventures LLC.
- Click on ‘ADD Page’. The terms and conditions page is now published.
Step 5: Hide Legal Pages from Navigation Menu
To remove these pages from the navigation menu:
- Go to ‘Pages and Navigation’.
- Drag the terms and conditions page and place it under ‘Hidden from Navigation’.
- Do the same for the privacy policy page.
Step 6: Add Legal Pages to the Footer
Now, let’s add the legal pages to the footer:
- Click on ‘ADD Element’, select ‘Text’, and drag it to the footer area.
- Double-click the text element and change its style to a paragraph.
- Change the text color to white to ensure it’s visible.
- Type ‘Privacy Policy’, resize the element, and place it correctly.
- Double-click the text again, click on the link icon, and select ‘Link to a Page’.
- Search for your privacy policy page and hit ‘Save’.
- Duplicate the text element, rename it to ‘Terms and Conditions’, and follow the same steps to link it to the terms and conditions page.
- Click ‘Update Website’ to save your changes.
Step 7: View Your Updated Website
Finally, view your website live to ensure that the legal pages are correctly added to the footer and hidden from the navigation menu.
