How to Add a Site Title Next to Your Logo on Squarespace
Welcome to Ben’s Experience! In this tutorial, I will show you how to add a site title next to your logo on Squarespace. This is a great way to enhance your website’s branding and make your site look more professional. Follow these simple steps to achieve this look.
Step 1: Log In to Your Squarespace Account
First, go to Squarespace.com and log in to your account by entering your email address and password. Once logged in, click on the website button below the Squarespace site where you want to add your site title next to your logo.
Step 2: Navigate to Your Page
Go to the Pages section and select any page under Main Navigation or from the list. Click on the Edit button at the top of the page, then select Edit Site Header.
Step 3: Add Your Site Title
Unfortunately, Squarespace does not provide a built-in option to display both your logo and site title side by side. However, there is a workaround: adding your site title to your logo image using an online tool like Photo.com.
Step 4: Use Photo.com to Combine Your Logo and Site Title
- Visit Photo.com and upload your logo.
- Use the text tool to add your site title to the logo.
- Customize the text by adjusting the font, size, and color.
- Make sure the combined logo and site title are well-aligned and visually appealing.
Step 5: Export Your New Logo
Once you are satisfied with the new logo design, export the image as a PNG file and download it to your computer.
Step 6: Upload the New Logo to Squarespace
Return to your Squarespace site, click on Edit Site Header, and then click on the logo or site title. Click on the little pen icon, and under Logo Image, select Replace or click on the plus icon to upload your new logo with the site title.
Step 7: Adjust the Logo and Header Height
To ensure your site logo does not take up too much space, adjust the height of the logo as needed. Click on Save to apply the changes. Before exiting, make sure to adjust the site header height for a balanced look.
Step 8: Preview Your Website
Click on the Exit button and preview your website to see how the new logo and site title look together. Make sure everything is aligned and looks good on both desktop and mobile devices.
By following these steps, you can successfully add a site title next to your logo on Squarespace, enhancing your site’s branding and professional appearance.
