How to Add a Search Bar in Squarespace
Adding a search bar to your Squarespace site can significantly enhance user experience, making it easier for visitors to find the content they’re looking for. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the process of adding a search bar to your Squarespace site.
1. Log in to Your Squarespace AccountStart by logging into your Squarespace account. Once you’re in, navigate to the dashboard where you’ll see a list of your websites.2. Select Your WebsiteClick on the website you want to modify. You will be directed to the main editing interface for that particular site.3. Access the Page EditorGo to the “Pages” section to locate the page where you want to add the search bar. For this example, we’ll work on the “About” page. Click the “Edit” button to enter the page editing mode.4. Choose Where to Place the Search BarYou have two options for adding a search bar:
Add a New Section: If you prefer, you can add a blank section to your page and then insert the search bar into this new section. Click the “Add Section” button, choose a blank layout, and proceed with the next steps.Add to an Existing Section: Alternatively, you can add the search bar to an existing section on the page. Click on the “Add Block” button within the section where you want the search bar to appear.
