How to Add a Link in Mailchimp

Adding a link to your Mailchimp email campaigns can enhance your communication and drive your audience to take action. In this blog post, we will guide you through the process of adding a link in Mailchimp, from creating your email to previewing your changes.

Step 1: Log In to Your Mailchimp Account

To begin, log in to your Mailchimp account at mailchimp.com. Once you’re logged in, navigate to the email campaign where you want to add a link.

Step 2: Create or Edit an Email Campaign

Start by creating a new regular email or editing an existing one. Go directly to the design email step. For this example, we’ll use a free template provided by Mailchimp.

Step 3: Add a Paragraph Block

In your email design, add a paragraph block where you want to place the link. Write your text in this block. For instance, you might write “click this link” as your call-to-action.

Step 4: Insert the Link

Highlight the text you want to turn into a hyperlink. Click on the link icon located at the top of the editor. A menu will pop up, allowing you to link to a web address, an email address, a phone number, a file to download, a survey, a landing page, or even an anchor within the same email.

Step 5: Configure the Link

Choose the type of link you want to add. For a web address, you can link to websites such as link to.com or google.com. Decide whether you want the link to open in a new tab or the same tab, then click “Save.”

Step 6: Preview and Test Your Email

Before finalizing, preview your email to ensure the link works as expected. This step is crucial to verify that your link directs to the correct destination.
