How to Flip Text in Canva
Flipping text in Canva can add a unique touch to your designs, making them more visually appealing and dynamic. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the process of flipping text, so you can enhance your Canva projects with ease.
To get started, visit the Canva website and create a new design. For this tutorial, we’ll be using an Instagram post template, which provides a square format ideal for social media.
Once you’ve opened your blank template, add a new text box to your design. To flip the text, you’ll first need to copy it. Navigate to the Share menu, select See All, and then choose Copy to Clipboard. After waiting a moment, click on Copy to Clipboard once more. This step ensures your design is safely stored for pasting.
You have the option to delete the old text, or you can keep it for reference as you proceed. If you’re eager to learn more about Canva, consider enrolling in my free Canva Essentials online course. This course covers everything from basic operations like adding text and backgrounds to advanced features such as uploading fonts and image editing techniques.
Returning to our task, paste your copied text back into your design using Command V for Mac users or Control V for PC users. This action will convert your text into an image format. Now, locate the Flip option in the toolbar. Here, you can choose to flip your text either horizontally or vertically, allowing for creative flexibility in your design.
