How To Edit Text In Canva

Welcome to another tutorial from Ben’s Experience! Today, we’ll delve into the world of Canva and learn how to edit text effectively. Editing text in Canva is an essential skill for anyone looking to create visually appealing designs.

To begin, navigate to Canva.com and open an existing design with text. You can easily edit the text by selecting it or double-clicking with your mouse. This will allow you to rewrite the text as needed. Adjusting the size of your text is also straightforward; simply use the plus and minus icons located in the text editing menu. Another efficient way to resize your text is by dragging the corner ball.

Next, let’s explore how to change the font style. Select the text and navigate to the font menu. Here, you’ll find a variety of font options to choose from. For instance, you might want to try the “Horizon” font for a fresh look.

Color plays a significant role in text editing as well. To edit the color of your text, select the specific part you wish to change, go to the text color option, and choose your desired color. For example, selecting red can help emphasize certain words.

If you’re looking to make your text bold or underline it, simply click on the respective icons in the toolbar. Alternatively, you can use keyboard shortcuts: Command + U for underline on Mac or Control + U on PCs.

Alignment and spacing are also crucial for a polished design. To align your text, use the alignment tools available. For spacing adjustments, select your text and navigate to the spacing options to modify letter and line spacing.
