How to Add a PDF to a Mailchimp Campaign
Welcome to Ben’s Experience! In this guide, I’ll walk you through the process of adding a PDF to a Mailchimp campaign. Whether you’re looking to share a report, eBook, or any other document with your subscribers, incorporating a PDF into your email campaign can enhance your content and provide added value.
Step-by-Step Guide:
- Log in to Mailchimp: Start by logging into your Mailchimp account. Navigate to the Mailchimp website and enter your username and password.
- Create a Regular Email: To demonstrate, I’ll be using a regular email campaign. Go to the ‘Create’ section and select ‘Email’. Then, choose ‘Regular Email’ and proceed to the design step.
- Design Your Email: Use a free template or start from scratch. To add a PDF to your email, first, you’ll need to create a visual link. The best practice is to use a screenshot of the first page of your PDF.
- Take a Screenshot: For Mac users, you can use the built-in screenshot tool. On other computers, search for instructions on taking screenshots for your specific device. Save the screenshot to your computer.
- Upload the Image to Mailchimp: Return to the Mailchimp email editor. Add an image block by selecting the image icon or the ‘Add’ button. Upload the screenshot image of your PDF.
- Link the PDF: Once the image is uploaded, you can edit its size and alignment. To link the PDF, select the image block and click on the ‘Link’ option. Upload your PDF file by choosing ‘Upload from Device’. Locate and double-click your PDF file to upload it.
- Save and Preview: Save your changes and preview your email. Clicking on the PDF screenshot should direct you to the PDF, where subscribers can either download or view it online.
By following these steps, you’ll successfully add a PDF to your Mailchimp campaign, making your emails more interactive and informative.
