How to Delete a Hard-to-Delete Squarespace Website

Deleting a Squarespace website can sometimes be tricky, especially when you don’t see the delete option. In this guide, we’ll show you how to delete a Squarespace website with no delete option available. Follow these steps to ensure you can successfully remove your site.

Step 1: Log into Your Squarespace Account First, navigate to Squarespace.com and log into your account using your email address and password.

Step 2: Access the Website Management Menu Once logged in, click on the three dots next to the website you want to delete. If you don’t see the delete option, it means you need to cancel your site subscription first. This also applies to your domain name and any other active subscriptions like Acuity Scheduling.

Step 3: Cancel Your Site Subscription To cancel your site subscription, click on the same three dots and select “Billing.” Follow the instructions to cancel your subscription. Step 4: Disconnect Your Domain Name Next, you need to cancel or disconnect your domain name. Go to “Domains and Emails,” click on “Domains,” and select the domain you want to disconnect. Follow the instructions to remove it.

Step 5: Cancel Other Active Subscriptions Ensure you cancel any other active subscriptions, such as Acuity Scheduling. Go to “Settings,” then “Billing,” and click on “Subscriptions.” Find Acuity Scheduling and cancel it.

Step 6: Delete Your Website After completing the above steps, click on your profile in the corner. You should now see the deletion option below the “Duplicate Website” option. Click on it, confirm your deletion, and wait for the process to complete.
