Hostinger Review in 2024: What’s New, What’s Hot, What’s Not!”

Hello everyone,

Welcome to Ben’s Experience, your go-to destination for everything related to web hosting and building websites.

After using Hostinger for over two years—God knows exactly how long—I’ve made the decision to share my experience to assist you in determining whether it meets your requirements or not.

Without any further ado, let’s begin with what I’ve liked the most:

SPEED

Everyone talks about how fast Hostinger is, and I agree.

I don’t know exactly how they make it so quick while keeping prices low.

My websites on Hostinger load really fast. If you know how to make your pages size small, your sites will be as speedy as those on pricier hosts.

Compared to other similarly priced hosts like Bluehost and DreamHost, Hostinger is quicker.

PRICE

Another standout feature of Hostinger is its super affordable prices.

For just $38.28 in the first year, you get 100 websites, Free 100 Email, and a Free Domain. That’s a fantastic deal, making Hostinger a real bargain.

Comparing it to other hosts, DreamHost offers a slight edge with unlimited websites, email accounts, and a free domain for about $3 less.

On the flip side, Bluehost, a popular host, costs almost double and gives you way fewer features – only 3 websites and one email account instead of Hostinger’s 100 websites and email accounts.

If pricing is your main concern, I recommend DreamHost. I even have a special offer where you can get it for a year for $0. Just click on my personal link below this video, pay for a year of their shared hosting, and reach out to me to get back $35.40 from my commission. This way, your payment for DreamHost hosting and domain name becomes practically free.

MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE

MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE

Hostinger gives you a solid 30 days to decide if you like their service, which seems pretty reasonable to me. A month should be more than enough time to test things out.

Getting a refund from Hostinger is quite easy based on my experience. If you don’t feel like chatting with support, you can use the ticket system, which responds quickly.

Just keep in mind that the cost of the domain name is non-refundable. So, if you want a full refund, hold off on using your free domain registration until you’re sure the service meets your needs.

If you find that 30 days isn’t enough and you need more time, consider checking out DreamHost. They offer an incredibly generous money-back guarantee, extending to 97 days – that’s over 3 months.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT

The fourth thing I appreciate about Hostinger is their customer support.

Their live chat is available 24/7 and connects quickly. It typically took me just a few minutes, ranging from 1 to 8 minutes, with an average of 5 minutes. This puts Hostinger well above average compared to other affordable hosting providers.

Now, let’s talk about the quality of their support. Personally, I don’t often need help because I usually fix my websites myself. However, I remember one instance where Hostinger support provided a solution I hadn’t thought of.

I was moving a slightly heavy WordPress site from my first account to my second account on Hostinger. Unfortunately, I downloaded a corrupted database file that wouldn’t upload successfully to my new account. Since I couldn’t access my first account to get a new copy, I had to rely on support.

Hostinger support understood my real problem and informed me that despite accepting the removal of all my databases with the account closure, they still had multiple copies. They promptly forwarded them to me in an organized manner.

I was fortunate because what I received exceeded my expectations. My website was restored to its exact last copy without losing any money-making pages.

The only drawback I’ve encountered with Hostinger’s support is that sometimes, for tasks requiring heavy lifting like uploading a large database exceeding the limit, they suggest hire a technician that costs $40.

EASE OF USE

One thing some people might not like, although it doesn’t bother me, is that Hostinger doesn’t use cPanel, a commonly known interface.

Instead, it has something called hPanel. It might not be super easy for beginners, but it has all the features of cPanel and even more.

With hPanel, you get an Auto Installer for WordPress, detailed reports on how your resources are used, and an easy way to back up your stuff.

Some cool things in hPanel that cPanel doesn’t have or available but in an old fashion are Analytics and a Malware Scanner. There’s also a feature I really liked – it automatically suggests server location change based on your website traffic for faster speeds.

On the not-so-great side, there’s a little issue with the setup process after I add new website in hPanel. The process is a bit confusing, so I started skipping it after my first try.

Another thing is that hPanel gives you different ways to do the same thing. For example, renewing your plan can be done from the websites page, … the billing page,  …. or from of your website dashboard. It’s a bit confusing because I need to pay attention each time, as the route I take is not always the same.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, Hostinger impresses with its fast website speed, budget-friendly pricing, and responsive customer support. The 30-day money-back guarantee adds a layer of confidence, although the hPanel interface might take some time to get used to it. If you value speed, affordability, and reliable support, Hostinger is a solid choice for web hosting.
